Hi all, first post. Im Troy from Queensland Australia, loved RIB's since my navy days so i bought one. My Vessel is a '733 Zodiac Hurricane' 200 Hp Volvo Penta with a duo prop. I plan doing a lot of touring in it as we would have to have one of the best waterway systems on the planet. I will be posting pictures shortly of the family and boat on our Easter trip.
Well done on choice of boat mate! I live in Queensland as well and am looking for a 7.3m rib to buy. Did you buy yours in oz, or import it? I have been obsessed with ribs since I spent some time in Canada playing around B.C, on zodiac hurricanes and bombards.( 470, 533 and a 6m bombard explorer. Nothing is as tough as a hurricane! Hi Todd, my boat is in getting a respray and good going over at the moment. I don't have a problem taking you for a run one day. I was fortunate enough to get mine here in Australia, it was a Aust built boat for the RAN and is a great powerful beastie.
Good to hear your getting her all ship shape. Maybe one day in the not to distant future might have one myself! My playground is S/E Qld. Moreton, straddle, gold coast and sunny coast. None in Aust for sale, one just sold for €175k in Europe with outboards, there is a smaller one in Sydney for sale for about $75k.
The military here have them refurbished in Sydney and reinstalled on ships., they are $500-580k new through Milpro apparently.
