Hi All, new to the Forum but have been lurking for a whilst.
I have been enjoying boats for around a decade, from my first dawncraft dandy on the canals of Birmingham, followed by a small 30ft steel narrow beam, again for the canals of Brum.
I then did a powerboat level 2 course so i could hire RIB whilst on holiday in Falmouth.
After that and selling the canal boat i always longed for another boat, so a couple of weeks ago i purchased a Honwave 3.8 Airdeck (it does have the pesky trim tabs), and a Honda 20hp to go with it.
Since then i have purchased lots of extras such as a second seat, seat bags, anchor and chain, Outboard stand and much much more.
I live in Birmingham but i have just started a new business venture in Basildon Essex, my plan is to have bit of fun and some fishing in the area, and the option to take it way on holidays in the uk hence going for the SIB.
I am taking it to Cornwall over the bank holiday to have a little play in the Carbis bay area.
I am looking for some likeminded boat owners in the Essex area who would be willing to show me the areas and launches if anyone on here is in the area or some fishing groups to join?
Thanks for having me.

Hi and welcome, you could have a lively play time with your T38 in Carbis bay! Hopefully it will be a calm week for you.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've had a lifetime on the water in various craft inc those you can sleep on but in retirement t have happily settled to an inflate out of the back of the car 3.8m SIB.

I hope you get some fun from yours. Chuck up some pictures and report when you get out on it.

Where are you hoping to launch near Basildon?
