New member - help with f-rib

Hello all,

New to member and new to ribs too.

I bought a second hand f-rib 275.

Does anyone know if there is a tool I can buy to operate the push and turn valves. I find them very fiddly to use with just my old fingers.

I've searched on valve key but I just get tools to remove the valve.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I don't think there will be a specific tool but there are many ways to do this with things you might find in the garage.

You could use something like an old days valve grinding tool, wooden dowel with a rubber end... or cut notches in the end of a small pipe that would engage with the valve ribs.... or even cut a notch in the end of some flat material to form two pegs that would engage with the valve.

You could even carry one of those rubber finger end thimbles that are used for counting cash.

Welcome to the board

A pair of needle nose pliers should be able to reach right in.

I find my finger tip works. Push in and twist.
