New to sea

Hello everyone, some advice please we have moved to Looe and would like to go out on my boat round the shore it is 3.2m raptor rib. I’m new to all this so need some advice on what engine I need, safety and laws thanks again for everyone’s help

I also have a 1 hp electric engine but don’t think this is good enough I have a garmin fishing finder many thanks again

Hi Carlos, welcome to Ribnet and welcome to boating.
Judging by your questions I'm guessing you're pretty new to this?
I'd suggest strongly that your first step should be to seek out a local sea school and do a RYA level 1&2 powerboat course. It'll be 2 really rewarding days that will teach you a huge amount and start your boating career on the right track. Your instructor will also be able to advise you on the right engine for your boat.

Thanks Jon I will get on this coarse as the last thing I want to do is kill me and my family or someone else so this will be invaluable

Never heard of a raptor rib got a Link? 1hp motor unlikely to make headway against the tide.......best doing the course before anything else
