Welcome [emoji1303]

U sure it’s a 5.15 ? Looks quite beamy. Viper 5.25 with a beam of 2.44m was a mid 90s boat. Tape measure should confirm as 5.15 is only 2.10m beam. Also, 5.25 takes 115hp whereas 5.15 max 65hp. You’ll be hoping it’s a Viper !

Re-powering from 50 to max 65 ain’t gonna sparkle much more. 50 to max 115 different story. ID plate usually on inner transom but may be long gone.
Hope u have a Viper, brilliant RIB for size [emoji1303]

Plates long gong im not even sure if its mid 90s boat its around a long time … Might be a issue with the prop then because it struggles to plane with 3 people onboard hopefully can get it out on the water soon and can try a few things to see do they make and difference

65 is the max, not a recommended hp, but I’m sure you know that. Your boat, not mine, so enjoy [emoji1303]

Go for a 90HP Yam, pretty much the same engine apart from carbs and a couple of other things

75/90 2 stroke Yamaha is only 10kg heavier than the 4 stroke that’s on it at the mo so the transom will handle it ..... it had a 75 Suzuki 2 stroke on it when we got it but it was stolen off the boat outside my dads home so it can handle a 75hp
