Newbie from North West Scotland

Hi everyone. Finally got round to registering after reading many articles on the forum - many thanks to all who take time to share their knowledge and experience - much appreciated.
I'm into anything boaty - kayaks, sailing dinghies, yots, SIBs and current RIB which is supposed to be a Humber Ocean Pro 6.3 but has had so many mods it is hard to say. Previous owners even made a storage box using an old table with the fablon still attached and lots of silicone - it's a long depressing story . Have had to attack it with angle grinders and sanders and remove console and seats etc so it's now a hull and tube!
Questions to follow on the relevant threads although my computer know how is not great - please be gentle with me

Welcome to RIBnet Skye Rib. Portree, nice part of the world.

A man with a RIB called Tango 4 has to be either RNLI or a Coastie?

Don't keep us in suspense regards home-made storage box. Get some pictures up.

Many thanks for your prompt welcomes. Boat didn't have a name until prompted by registration for forum so quick decision based on its colour (like 90% of ribs!) and call sign for an ex company car - nothing as exciting as CG or RNLI I'm afraid!
Not sure if I took pics of 'before' - too embarassing. Purchase was based on pics and an OK from a pal - so it's now another of my 'projects' to my wife's despair! Will maybe post pics to see if it can be confirmed as an Ocean Pro or not.
Many thanks for your interest. I also have a Honwave with a floppy air deck but that is for another thread!!

There you go - Tango Four is SAR speak for a dead body. I thought you were highlighting it's current condition. I wouldn't advise using the name at sea...

Maybe that is an apt name considering its current condition! A category 5 was our equivalent for a fatality or dead body. Different languages!
Hopefully it's not bad luck to change her name especially as I haven't launched her yet or applied a name plate.
Thanks for the warning though, that could have caused a few misunderstandings!
