Hi,

I have been a member for a number of years, but have not been active.

I come from a sailing background, mainly in yachts, but have been involved with dinghy's through my son who has started competing on the Cadet circuit in the last couple of years.

I am involved in our local sailing club as a parent, typically doing safety cover, coaching, cooking or general dogs body as we seem to turn into when kiddies start doing activities.

We have started traveling a reasonable amount for competitions, which either causes us to lose a rib from the lake or end up taking something which is really not suitable for the conditions and water they sail in.

I am looking to get a Rib which I can use for inshore safety work (outside Brigham harbor in the bay, for example) we well as some calmer day bay hopping with the rest of the family.

I would like a project, as I enjoy renovating things. Currently finishing a 1979 VW Bay window, which is a nut and bolt/bare metal renovation. It might not have meant to be, but once the paint and filler was removed, the bottom 1/3rd of the van needed replacing/repairing.

I'm looking forward to getting help and advice along the way, from those who know considerably more than me.
