Hey back on the newbie questions here. CDA ehh !
My little Avon spitfire with aluminum flooring needs a powder to assist in the install of the floor panels when setting up boat from storage. The previous owner said it was a must, because putting everything together was a bit of a zapper.
I did find it quite labour some especially for my first time. Next time will be certainly easier except for having no RIB powder.
My boat is set up now so I could do a minor mend. I will again need to take it down for transport this summer. The powder that was left was little and now I am out.
There are two local marine stores nearby, of which neither carry this powder.
So I am looking for a home grown recipe, an old RIB community favourite recipe, possible supplier were I can order for a reasonable price ?
Here's the Question :
Can I use corn starch like they use in place for so many things ?
Or is there some secret ingredients that one needs in this powder to protect the material involved; in my case it's a Hypalon RIB.
Any and all comments are welcome, your experience or your friends mistakes are the knowledge I seek
Thanks in advance for your reply
