Ripple effect on Sib floor whilst on plane

Just come back from a fantastic week at Pentewan Sands, near Mevaguissey, Cornwall. Thoroughly recommend it - great camp site, fantastic boating / launching facilities and beautiful coastline to explore. Also helped having great weather!! My 380hd Ali floor sib with 30hp 2 stroke went like a bomb, no problem towing a ringo etc. Although got onto the plane with 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a 9 year old easily, it did suffer from time to time with the floor having a ripple effect (could feel and see the floor raise up and down and boat would loose speed and come off the plane. Could this be down to only having the keel inflated to half it's recommended pressure (footpump would only get to 0.2 bar where keel needs 0.45 bar - felt rock hard though) or is this just an inherent problem with a Sib. This only happened when boat was near its weight limit, performed fine with just 2-3 up. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, site has it's own beach so some of the pitches for caravans and tents are right next to beach. Great location

I went and had a look on there a good few years ago when I used to have my touring caravan and often thought of booking there in the past. Now I have got a rib staying there could be a good option for a summer holiday.

To be honest I couldn't recommend it more highly - although it's a large site it has good modern facilities and is very clean and very well run. There's lots of boat owners, with a good mix of friendly campers and tourers so you get a good atmosphere. There's a tractor launch on the beach and fresh water hose to flush and wash down boat. If you can hand launch it's free but to tractor launch it costs £21 (that's in and out) so it's a bit pricey. That's about the only negative - great place. Ps if anyone from campsite is reading this post surely I deserve a discount for such a great write up !! :-)
