Thank you

Firstly a big thank you to rib.net for all the useful information I have purloined over recent months from your threads and pages.

I am just finalising the purchase of a rib that I will be keeping in the dry stack in Plymouth. Being new to this boating lark, I need to get my hours up with some experienced hands over the autumn and spring. Then it will be full steam ahead and hopefully meet some of the local members for some ribbing fun.

One question though. The boat I am buying has a roadworthy trailer with it which I am pretty sure I will never use (I’m never going to tow an c8m RIB) so do I leave it to rot at the dry stack or should I sell it? If the latter, does anyone have any ideas of a good forum for its sale?

Welcome.

Trailers fetch good money, even in rag order, you'll have no probs selling it. That said, if you need one in a hurry - you'll need a favour or a professional job. In your shoes, I'd investigate your options first - I expect the dry stack will have good info as many clients will be in a similar situation.
