Trailer Tyres issue

First time posting guys, wondering if anyone had issues with wires bursting out the side of tyres, 2nd tyre its happened on now ,will try to add photo. Basically 1st tyre, garage put down to old tyre sitting for ages etc and showed me how to age the tyre, but this tyre was virtually new though I cant age as is a Marshal and DOT code is numbers and letters not just 4numbers for month/year. Trailer had new bearings so not this . Literally hundreds of inch long wires coming out all round where tread meets sidewalls

If thats a fairly recent tyre then my suspicion would be its been under inflated
Possibly a faulty tyre but the supplier should be able to return to manufacturers for analysis of cause of failure
I used to sell tyres & occasionally got the odd one returned by a customer & we could return via supply chain & get an answer as to whether it was impact damage or faulty etc

driven on with too low a pressure is a likely cause, my boat trailer wheels run at 85psi.

Thanks for input and advice lads, suspect psi would have been about 40ish . I ll go and put 60 in the 2 on trailer , carrying a searider with 25hp outboard , I always feel trailer sits towards verge when driving . I ll also check if 6 or 8ply .

Check the tyre wall for maximum inflation pressure. It'll be there somewhere as will maximum load.
