I have to say I'm not really sure why some people put sodding great plotters on their boats anyway. You don't need a 14" plotter if you never leave the Solent!

I started my family boating with a 5.75 viper, the kids started as young as a few months, out in push chairs strapped to the deck as it had no seats
Went on to A hared boat with small cabin but now back to ribs!
We have a 2006 ribeye 6m play time and the tubes look like new
The hypolon tubes on the osprey viper we had where in a much worse condition in under 10 years but it had had a hard life with my old diving club before I bought it! So I would not rule ribeye out they are very family friendly

Guys, appreciate the advice - what a great forum. And I must admit I like to use a putter for depth, but hopefully that might lessen as I get more experience. Cheers.

MVW,

I tend to agree with you; with more experience you'll develop better techniques. Your approach to recycling unwanted sports equipment is laudable though!

Just A thought, but I have just got a 2009 Ribeye 650S with a Yamaha 150 with probably less than 100hrs (will confirm) and that is going to be priced around the £25k mark. It has been dry stacked from new! PM me if you want details, although I will post it on here when it's been cleaned and photo'd.

Regards Steve

Tks, just love the spell checker on this site. Still, considering my golf the putter would be more use checking depths!

Steve, when you have the details send them through . Wll probably do a bit of looking around first but sounds about right. What are you changing it for?

Hi MVW,

Not my boat but belongs to a client of my Dry Stack. He's getting out of boating because he never gets to use the boat (hence low hours) and he was a good friend of the guy that died in the Padstow accident and it's rather put him off. Will send details as soon as they are done (should be sometime Monday).

Regards

Steve
