2 part Polymarine 2990 Hypalon Adhesive

Part of the attachment strip has just started coming away from my hull. Only a couple of inches at the moment!

Am I best to use the above adhesive or would you recommend something else?

Bearing in mind how small it is I can't easily braid the surfaces.. Do I need to for such a small repair?

I'd RATHER go for a single part adhesive as it's easier to work with. Can you recommend one or am I best to go for a 2 part

The single part adhesives are just not as good as the 2-part.

Unfortunately you will need to get all the old glue off and abrade both surfaces.

Some areas of the tube attachment strip take a lot of force from water spray so need to be glued down well.

The Polymarine glue is the best known of all the Hypalon glues and is as good as anything.
You'll also need some Acetone to help remove the old glue and clean everything.

Nasher.

Thank you Nasher.

Bearing in mind it's only a couple of inches I guess I have to make it worse to make it better?

I.E pull it further to make 6" os so, so I can then get into both sides to clean and sand it?
