It is made up land it came from clearly.

The same lack of logic has been applied thinking a 19 year old 115hp 2 stroke uses a "little" more fuel than a modern engine, it must be close to double based on my experience going from 75hp 2 stroke to 100hp 4 stroke.

But the cost to change may make it difficult but it would absolutely pay for itself eventually....when eventually comes is the problem if you swap engines only to save fuel ofcourse.

Never said I was trying to be misleading I made up what I feel is a reasonable estimate over the warranty life of an engine.

Absolutely fine to apply the rules provided of course they are applied in an even handed fashion
