2014 SACS Strider 10
I am looking for some guidance on above model, as I am considering buying.
I will be inspecting the boat coming Tuesday and taking it out for sea trial.
The engines (2x300 Verados) seem to be well taken care of and only has approx 300 hours on them.
By looking at photos of the tubes, the vessel seems to have been in the water most of the time, also hull has been treated with paint. My guess is that the boat has been in Florida most of its life, so lots of sun and salty water. Question: how long do the tubes last in such conditions and how much is it to replace them? Also, any idea where this can be done in Florida?
Also, any insight in how the self bailing works on this boat would be helpful (I am sure I can verify myself, when seeing the boat Tuesday, but any insight would be helpful).
A number of things seems to have disappeared over time on the vessel: table, cushions for cabin etc. Any input on where to get this? SACS is not responding unfortunately.
Any input on known issues with these boats is welcome and any other observation, positive or negative, is welcome.
Any good ideas on where close to Sarasota I could have custom canvas covers made for console and other critical areas for the vessel? Any recommendation is welcome.
Thanks in advance if anybody can find the time to respond.
Best regards.
