3.1m rib min engine size

Hi I have a 3.1m rib and I'm looking an engine.
What do you think the minimum size engine to plane with 2 13 stone guys on board

Do you know what the boat is rated at, this will usually be on a plate on the transom.

Max 11.2kw which I think is 15hp

6hp... perhaps in ideal conditions with some luck and a tail wind... but very marginal.
8hp... quite likely to plane but might have to coax it over the hump.
9.8/10hp... probably the optimum power for this size and your load.
15hp... much easier

Oh and I'm assuming this is a really light RIB if hard hull or a SIB. One way of getting an idea is to search Youtube videos by engine size.
