3 litre Optimax Battery (Nasher?)

I'll be re-rigging my rib over the winter and will probably replace the batteries too. Checking the service manual it says I need a minimum of 750CCA and 105 amp hours. Pretty big when the old carb motors could be hand started - but I get it, the ECU needs lots of power or it won't fire the injectors.

So anyway, what batteries are people using on the 3 litre optimaxes.
I'll probably have a pair - engine & house, but both will be the same size and able to be switched over to use the house battery to start the engine, of course.

At the moment it's looking like a pair of HSB020 batteries - any better options than that? They're a big old beast.

Thank you.

Hey Matt

I asked a similar question recently and ended up with a pair of Red Tops:

RIBase
Had a pair of optima blue tops on my RIB for 8yrs, still going strong. Paradoxically, the starter battery is smaller than the house battery, but when you think it through, it makes sense. Obviously got a changeover/combiner switch between the 2.

I can't believe I even replied on that thread - I had completely forgotten it! Thank you Nasher.
