3m scotchlite 3155

I'm looking for some of this stuff, does any forum member have some for sale. Tried eBay but gave up it's the 50mm SOLAS rated stuff self adhesive.

Cheers!

Does it have to be SOLAS rated?

If you're looking for something to stick on, say, the hull or trailer, try a trucking supply place. They put a lot of reflective stuff on trailers.

Yeh, I've got a roll but it costs an arm and a leg. 50mm wide. How much are you needing?

This stuff.

Yes that stuff, about 2 metres probably, possibly less, to put enough 100mm dabs on our boat to make it visible in searchlight type thing.

Ok, send me a tenner and I'll send you 2mtrs. PM me if you're interested.

Better mention to you that it doesn't last for ever when in water but it does last for years. If it's on rubber it also tends to crack a bit after flexing for a while but it still stays stuck and continues to reflect ok.

Bloody 'ellfire is that what that stuff costs?
I have big roll of it that ended up in my toolbox from when I worked at sea years ago that has been kicking around in the shed for years, I must have about 25m or 30m of the stuff at least.
I thought it was cheap, over £10 a metre is beyond belief............

Sweet Mother of Fcuk! Mate of mine used to work for Reflexite (3M lookalike), had a cleanout at the store and bunged me a load of soiled and out-of-date SOLAS tapes and other reflective tapes and sheets (nice pieces of blue and yellow )

oh, big

Cods,

It may be 3930 tape which is the stuff used on road signs, this isnt as good as the 3155 (I think) lots on of the 3930 on eBay as you rightly said.

I think the reflectivity is greater with the SOLAS stuff, might be worth talking to 3m, there was a monster roll of the roadsign stuff on eBay, was thinking of bidding but if wasnt to good then I'd miles of the stuff to get rid of!
