4.7m Searider with engine - £700...???!
Spotted this on B&O (I know it's plagued with scams but this seems to have some pedigree):
Avon Sports Dive Ribs for sale , Avon 4.7 50hp four stroke cheap - Boats And Outboards
Not contacted them but thought I would flash it up...

"engine not running"
Ex sailing club, and looks like the trailer might be their beach launch trolley, so how do you get it away?
Then of course there's the "pool use boat" scenario of a sailing club.....
probably not a bad price all things considered and in the absense of detail photos.

Blimey, that's an understatement if it's a real sale!
Forget the engine, an elusive 4.7m SR for £700 is silly cheap in the extreme...

Got to be worth a punt at that price ? Could be something very simple on the engine and some TLC can go along way on a club abused boat ?
If only it was last week and I'd have been very tempted ...doh....

Biff will be there by 3pm..... some hedging of bets by the club , but you cant really blame them .
BIff - if you buy it ( fighting off Xk59D along the way ) will you sell me your SR4 ?

Well, glad that one of you will hopefully get it - whatever happens, a tidy up, good pics and a decent eBay ad and you should be up for a profit of £2k minimum. (And if the buyer spotted it through this heads-up I want a pint of beer! )
Mine was the rare 'solid' foam tubed ex-MoD model but it sold to a buyer in Ireland for £8.5k a year or so back with a Merc 60 and trailer. TBH he could have made a decent profit the next day as there was huge interest in it.

Alas - I have the wonders of a 'Chartered Insurance Institute' presentation today ....... wild fun.......
I know I'd rather be spending £700 on that boat. Am off to Essex on Sat to get my latest little toy ....
