Hi Derek and welcome to ribnet.

I'll ask teh questions for everyone although I'm sure someone more knowledgable will ask more.

what make and model is your boat (i'm guessing a 4.1 mtr searider from your coment about ballst holes)?
what engine do you have on?
Is there any offset on your engine?
What is you console arrangement?
what prop is on your engine?

Just as a starting point if you answer these other peeps will be able to help you a lot more.

Ian

Hello, and welcome!

I assume you bored the big "dump hole" in the transom out as well?

As a slight tangent thought, are there signs of any repairs on the underside of the hull near the treansom? Mine developed an unnerving list at speed until I took the antifouling off and found a repair near the transom - just not a partcicularly good one, so one side was slightly convex, the other concave! Only became a problem above about 22 knots.
