5M to 6.5M Ribs - Speed Survey

I am looking to build a dataset of real (2 way GPS measured with and aganist tide averaged, 2 adults on board) top speed (wide open throttle) attained by Ribs in the popular 5M to 6.5M range. To start off:

Farfetched - Solent, 6.5M, 150 opti, goes between 42 and 45 knots, depending on fuel level.

Look forward to amny answers. Please, no bragging, I am genuine interested in the true real world answers.

Thanks

Bruce

Humber Destroyer 5.8, Johnson 115 with a 17" prop
1 fat person
about 75L fuel
max speed ever recorded on GPS 36.1kt
normally won't get past about 35.4/35.5 so assume the above may have been following tide

Getting a 19" prop so will be interesting to see if that makes any difference as the engine feels like it could give more.

I also discovered recently that the engine (which is a FastStrike variant) still has the running in restrictor fitted so I could get another 500rpm if I could figure out how to chisel that off, that and a 19" prop might see the hectic side of 40

that's interesting - hell of a lot faster than mine for similar size/hp!

be interesting to see how mine goes with coarser prop on - maybe I should have gone for a 21 if you are running a 23 - how well does it go?
