Very smart, will be really interested to see what performance you get out of this! A commercial operator I spoke to recently with an 11m runs twin 200ho G2s and claims his average (total) fuel consumption is 1.2l/nm, total, not per engine.

what a load of tosh.. 400 hp on a 11m (poss 2.5 tons) 0.6 litres per mile per unit!!

You sure thats not the oil usage per mile?

I don't know I will be very happy if it is that economical. But just think I be happy just to be bk in the water.
PS.
MY 150 optimax burns approx 1 .1/2 LPM@25/35mph
so hopefully 1LPM OR LESS I BE VERY [emoji16]

Yeah I know - But still would love a G2 on her, and then would have to get out even more to justify the upgrade!

With the 175 I think she is under powered, Id go for the 200HO

I would not rule out one of the new 200HP Small block G2 engines Steve, Have heard very good things about them. Low to mid range torque is supposed to be phenomenal.

Sorry, having thought about it I think it must have been 1.6l/nm but I do agree that figure still seems ridiculous!

He was adamant though, reckoned it has cut his fuel bill to less than half compared to previous G1s of the same size. He wouldn't shut up about it!!

I know Chris has got some fantastic fuel economy figures under the 1l/nm mark with the new engines, and I have spoken to other early adopters with hard boats who have also seen huge reductions.
