733 bracket

Hope everyone is having a good summer, I am a long time listener and first time caller so here it goes: I have bought a 733, 2002 at auction and have just repowered with twin YMA 150's. I already own a 753 zodiac that was specifically designed for modern four stroke outboards and I absolutely love the boat. I bought this one bc based on the one online auction photo it appeared to be similar setup with direct transom mounted outboards (this one one had old mercs) The problem I am having is there appears to be too much weight aft, the boat squats horribly when you are pulling on anything (I use the boat as a TowBoat.) I am curious if anyone has used a different type of bracket other than the one direct from zodiac with any success. Probably stick with aluminum to save weight and I have a great local welder. Any thoughts or experiences is appreciated!

My bad, posted the same pic twice but you get the idea... This is what it looked like when it blew a tire on the way from from San Diego to NC!

For the old 733’s zodiac made an aluminum bracket that added some flotation. More recently look on here for Ryan Pratt’s old posts about adding fiberglass brackets to Willard 730. I rebuilt an old RIB-P, the original zodiac 7m, and added a zodiac bracket with a single 250 4 stroke.
