Hi can anyone tell me your thoughts on a 7m diesel powered ribcraft are they any good looking for a diesel rib

If it's the 7m with the soppy 160hp lump in it, it's gonna be hopeless as you've already established in your previous thread. If not, you need to state which diesel is fitted in the RC, in order to get any feedback.

240hp will push it along but it still won't blow your socks off. It sounds a lot of ponies, but it's a solid hull & the engine/leg combo is no Kate Moss.

Islay, eh?
I've done more than a few days off Islay. Anywhere other than in the sound between you and Jura, you're really not opening up any more horses than that...
If it cruises at 25kts and gives you over 30kts at WOT, you're ahead.

No, I do as little as possible there
Caol Islay is my tipple. We were in PA last May and had lunch with Marion at the hotel. We'll be through again in a few weeks if someone finally takes notice of me on the loaner front....
