AB valve replacement

I just bought an AB, with what I think are early 2000 vintage tubes. Two of the four valve stems are broken, so the springs are missing and they don't seat at all times. I wanted to replace them, so bought replacement valves. These are the 2 part valves that screw together and sandwich the hypalon between them.

The actual AB ones are fairly expensive, so I got some more generic ones that are a very close design. However, the thread pitch isn't the same as the AB, so I can't reuse the inner valve basket in the tubes.

Is there any way to get the old baskets out and the new ones in without cutting a larger hole? I can't seem to find any information on this. Is my only option to just buy the more expensive valves?

Thanks.

Take a look on Ribshop's website , I'm pretty sure there's a guide on there to show you how to swap them out, it may help.

Inner valve baskets are fitted inside tubes while being assembled at the factory, will need to make a small cut next to basket neck to widen side fabric enough to take it out. Sometimes it's preferable and faster to swap same brand valves, although could be pricier. Cheap can be expensive...
