accommodation Scotland A9 recommendations

hi folks i am starting to plan our week away in Lochinvar .i find it a long way to drive in one hit towing the boat so am thinking of setting off a day early and stop over on route .so im looking for not too expensive hotel/pub ect that will do a one night booking there and back good size car park preferably out of sight of main road so the boats secure. be able to get some food .on the A9 somewhere between Perth and Aviemore. any recommendations the best iv come up with is the travel lodge Perth or premier inn Aviemore neither are ideal

Hi beerbelly
There's not much between Perth and Aviemore but pitlochery and tummel bridge you might find something suitable there.
Cheers Kevin

cheers i have secured a night on the way out and a night on the return journey at the Acarsaid in pitlochry looks ok decent reviews not too expensive and the chap on the phone was very helpfull and assured me there would be sufficient parking for the rib all we need now is calm water and wall to wall sunshine

This may sound a bit left field but search for truck stops on route. They often have accommodation and you know your boat will be safe over night.
