Action packed
Been an incredible few weeks with so much going on. Started with a visitor staying 6 weeks instead of 3 days after getting cut off by the fires. Fires, fires and fires, infact the airbombers are hitting fires less than 500m from us right now.
Heading out in the rib had been great on the fishing front until I stopped using it having taken a deposit for its sale a while ago. Logistics and fires means the boat is still in my garage but hopefully the new owner will get to play with it very soon ( a member from here ). Must admit it was the toughest decision of letting the boat go of any vessel I've ever owned.
So on with a few tales of ribbing. The fishing has been truly amazing with day after day catching and mostly releasing kingfish. There have been numerous sharks, including great whites, makos, hammerheads and bronze whalers. Condions and lack of tourists due to the fires has meant we have the seals to ourselves snorkelling. The marlin bite has been going strong, with my daughter tagging 10 in two trips.

A bit more variety in aircraft, Last night we had 500 additional firefighters rock up in town to help with the next few days of extreme conditions.

My daughter dropped her boyfriend onto his first marlin which literally took the bait as he fed the leader line over the side. Striped and black marlin are here in big numbers, few more weeks and the blue marlin will be here too. Must admit I don't miss fishing the UK than much!!!

I’ve never been much interested in fishing but if I lived where you do I have a feeling it would all change in a blink of an eye. Hope the fires are getting under control news here has slowed now the focus has shifted to coronavirus
