Would be a good idea - you don't want to get washed over a wier if the engine decides to stop playing.

Someone will always come up with a scenario where you would need one, so I have one in my garage that you can have FOC I will give it to ROB if he goes ahead with what we disscussed yesterday

1 of these is handy to go with it, and would be handy if you ever needed a tow.

40FT OF NEW 8MM ROPE ANCHOR BOAT MOORING WITH SNAP HOOK & SHACKLE | eBay

Do you want something right or right now, listen to these guys they seriously know there stuff, I did the same as you are going to do, went in low end
Honda 2.4 outboard with trolley paid £280.00 just sold on eBay for £320 and kept the trolley
Honwave 2.4 air deck paid £400 sold for £ 360 after 2 years use
Currently upgrading sib
If you buy quality you seem to get near your money back
Just be patient and a deal will come
Also look for sibs with transom wheels, seat bags etc, these little extras cost a fortune
Good hunting
Mick

Just an update for those interested. The maiden voyage went well on a local waterway a small hicup at the beginning where I tilted my engine back and petrol started dripping in to my boat. Took me an age to start it after that but as soon as I did it went a lot better than I thaught with 3 adults and a child a good day for all.
