Well done mate.......
..it's always a little daunting buying something new, however, the feeling of elation once you're on the water and she's cruising at 35 knots will make up for all that. Catch you soon, MeMe.

Here she is!
Brief visit home at weekend and picked her up.
Zodiac 6.5 Pro Open with 150 Evinrude plus 15hp Johnson aux. (both inboard tanks). Great guy to deal with and most upset at parting with his 'baby' as good lady will not allow him to take to Spain. As a result, came as a complete package - anchors, fenders buoys, ropes, 4 wet weather suits (immaculate), llifejackets etc etc. VHF (DSC) radar, fishfinder and GPs (Raytheon). Chipped for east and west coast of Scotland.
About 30 hrs on 150. Bradley trailer just serviced for original plan of towing to Spain. I will not be able to use for a month or so and p..sed of at paying 60GBP per month to local marina for uncovered and insecure storage. Have taken what I can off. Very pleased with everything otherwise but apoligies for photos as it was twilight and had been some day!
Anyway, any members in the Edinburgh area who would be willing to assist new boy and his toy over Xmas/New Year period to get in the water for a spin if possible? Please PM. Malt provided!

Cool! You got a name for her yet? I hope you've got some gloves 'cause I reckon that steering wheel is gonna be cold in winter! What size fuel tank?

Louise - Boat Name
Come from a N.W. Coast fishing village and favourite boat name as a boy was Spindrift. However, Missus suggested this might be more apt - "Spendrift'! Do you know if its in use?

Sounds appropriate for a boat!
A look at this site (originally cited by Pete 7 and Pete B) suggests it hasn't been used.
P.S. Don't forget to update your profile!
