No ones mentioned Parker yet, well built, nice ride etc. Not sure if there's much about on the S/H market at the moment though?

Guess who was sitting on the seat when that happened... and I don't know who was sitting on the other one the time before, because it was under Roy that it happened . I hope that your repair holds up!

Do I detect yet another broken backrest frame out of the 'Marine Fabrications' factory?

Found a 2005 Ribeye 'S' 6.5 with a Yam F150 local to me, going for a sea test next week - its got 130 hours on her and in ok condition, could do with a spruce-up. Are they generally OK? And what would be a fair price?

I had a 6.5sport Ribeye for two years and after that period it sold for a similar price, I also saw the same boat advertised last summer for more money-
Yamaha 150 four stroke is a great engine and with only 130 hours should be very good. They work well on the 6.5 and Ribeye dont usually put anything bigger on the stern. We have used one with 200 on stern and you had to have your wits about you and was a heavier engine holding the stern down.
I think the 2005 tubes had not been loaded with auto release valves but I never had a problem. Check in the consul for tidy wiring and make sure all electronics work.
If the boat has a service record check it out. I would expect you to pay less than 20.000 for a great one and then reduce the price as condition varies.
If you like the boat you can also ring Ribeye at Dartmouth and ask them for boat history.
I sold the 650 with 300hrs on the engine and the Yam never let me down and could be very economical.
Seating is normally 2 x double jockey and a rear seat which may be a box type on that year or the first of the moulded all in rear seat and storage.
Good Luck

Thanks for the info ian, I know the dealer who's serviced the boat since new. I believe they're looking for 25K but I think it's too much, 20 as you suggested is more realistic. Would you have another one?

Lee, yes I would but I use these boats commercially so I guess I am biased. RIBshack used them for years as a share ownership RIB on The Solent and now further afield also, and now generally have the Ribeye 600 and some 10metres.
Clearly dealer show they hold their price. A 2005 at 25K is top dollar and I would suggest needs a better deal. 25k is what we paid for a demo 650 in 2005 and we sold it 2 years laterfor 23 if I remember correctly. The next owner kept it for another year and offered it for sale at 24K (not sure what it sold at)
If I read this right then this could be one of Kevins sales, he knows these boats well and has a great reputation
