Two weeks ago I asked some questions about the 2nd hand Avon searider. next weekend I'll look at some other ribs.
- a Bombard explorer 580 with a 100 fourstroke Yamaha for about 14.000 euros (from first owner bought in 2000)
- a Narwhal WB 550 grey(?) with a 130 twostroke Yamaha for about 11.000 euros (from first owner bought in 2000)
- a Valiant 520 (2002) with a 80 twostroke Yamaha (1997) for about 12.000 euros.
- a Marshall 90 RT 1997 with a 75 twostroke Mercury 1997 for about 12.000 euros
Does somebody have advice about those boats? Which one to choose????
I only have experience of the Narwahl 550 and chances are it wasn't a WB (presumably WB means something like wide body??). It's a very capable boat...the one that I have used had a 75hp two stroke on the back and was capable of taking 4 divers plus kit. What it would do with 130 is another question. Might be slightly overpowered (if there's such a thing). I've been in it in rough weather also and it behaved well. Can't help you on the others I'm afraid.
