Aerotec 380 damage

Hi,

My what was like new Aerotec 380 has been damaged by mice!
I was hoping for some advice on weather or not it is going to be worth repairing, there is at least 12 holes ranging from a couple of mm's to about 6 inch.
I think the cost is going to be around £300 for the repair but just wondered if anyone has a similar experiance and would the boat performance ect be affected.

Thanks in advance

If its a professional repair, the performance wont be effected at all.

Is it worth it ? Jury is out.

An old 380 that needed TLC and had 20 or 30 patches sold on Ebay last month for £440.

If you are happy with the boat and want to keep it, get the work done, its a lot cheaper than a new Aerotec (Currently on sale at £1995).

If you dont want it, stick it on Ebay with an honest description and pictures, it should sell for £2-300.

I had full length patches fitted to both sides of the lower half of the tubes on my 380 after I hit several things and made several holes . RIBshop in Swanick did it for me.

Worked well, wasn't noticable and meant it was harder wearing for the future. Easily added several years to the life of the boat for a few hundred quid rather than fork out double the cost for another boat of unknown history.
