ALERT - miserable gits!!!

great day today ,(sunday) went up to ozborne bay , but wind in wrong direction , so took a d tore and cruised towards the little bay to the east of hamstead and newtown. Had a laugh skiing and stuff , but theres ALWAYS some one , who think they own the place. He told us to get lost and ski some where else , (think he was worried we were scaring the fish away as he had fishing lines out.!!
But gave him a little wave and he soon relised he does have to share the bay!! haha
so watch out for these grumpy old sailors who think they own the place COS THEY DONT!!!!

The tall one speaks the truth...keep blasting about and watersports away from anchored boats whether they be yachts, gin palaces or other RIBs, not only to keep everyone sweet but also for everyones safety!

Hannah,
If this grumpy old git was there first I think he had every right to be pis**d off with you! As that right do you have to come along & rowen his day!
If you where there first the he has no augment with you, but I guess you just rocked up & pis**d on his bonfire
This is how we power boat get a bad name, show some respect!
Nick (grumpy old git who got 37kn out of his old tub yesterday ) Hearne

I'm in with Nick.

Reverse story on a yottie forum,

Saw some rib nobbas skiing, so sailled backwards and forwards over their ski runs (power over sail etc) eventually set 2 anchors with buoys & floating line then fishing lines right accross where they were sking. Then got the rail bbq out so smoked them out a bit aswell. This needed to wriitten GarFish style.

I swing both ways so see it from both sides.

Now that is an admission!!!

We all have to share the sea.
Some make it easier to share than others.
Its a good idea to be nice to everyone then they cant have a go at you.

And I have seen it the other way round on other forums.

Regards

I agree with hannah because sailors and fisherman think that own the water( being a sailor as well but ribin as well) we where down in the ski zone and a sailin boats sail in to it and start haveing a go because we where going to fast past him and makein to much wake. but he was makein ski boats drop there skier or make turns out of his way. he got very close to takein out a wakeborder if the wakeborder had not seen him i time he would have gone full speed in to the sailin boat and propaly hurt him self as well as got a nice bill at the same time.

We have problems with fishermen in 'the run' at christchuch entrance. They set their lines right accross the channel, which is of course completely in the wrong.
However, it is most satisfying when you see their rod bend at 90 degrees and their reel doing 18,000 rpm as you come past at 25 knots
I have nothing against fishermen and agree we should share the sea, however it does irritate me when they have their lines right accross the channel.

regards

Alex

If he was sailling in a sky zone would it not be a idea to bring this to the attention of the skipper!
So are we saying Hannah was skiing in a ski zone, if not what the hell is your point

there was a point i was sayin that is not just jetski's and powerboats that piss peopler off and u hav to go right down the chanel to get to the ski zone and there are lots of boats goin around at high speed and if u sail down the chanel u get to a gr8 big mud bank so there is no point in being in that chanel if you are not skin or jetskin. thats my point
