Anchor locker - protection ?

Can I line my anchor locker with something to provide a bit of protection from the anchor/chain thats going to get stowed in there.

What do others do ?

I was thinking of lining it with some neoprene or even just lino, so its water proof but has some give in it. Otherwise the anchor and chain will be jumping around all the time.

Its not the sort of shape that will take a plastic basket / bucket.

I have always used rubber door mats the type with holes through them, worked well for me

Rubber here too, I found a cut up plastic builders tub in the front of mine when I got it, worked well too.

That rubber mat looks perfect, cheers.

Just need to get a proper anchor and length of chain / rope thats more suited to Corsica.

I've glued some old thin conveyer belt rubber to the inside of all my lockers, works a treat.

I've used an old bouyancy aid before. I pack it with rope coil which does the trick too!
