Triggers Broom wouldn't be a bad name for a boat

Re firing the rude up,Drain the carbs, drop the leg off 1st and change the impeller along with all the gaskets.Give it a quick spray of WD40 down the bores and on the bendix, hook fresh fuel up to it (50:1) and try and start it on muffs.

If it won't fire up on all 3 stop the engine and clean the carbs out.

The controls being missing shouldn't be a problem-you can access everything under the hood. To use the leccy start, just hook a battery up via jump leads(that way if the starter jams you can disconnect it in a hurry) and touch the trigger wire from the starter solenoid to the main power into the solenoid.

Be aware if it starts the only way to stop it is to run it out of fuel unless you know which wire went to the killcord.

What's this then?

One for the Left Foot and one for the Right Foot. Make sure your outboards are matched, otherwise you'll be doing the splits?

Well you had trouble finding enough space for one SeaRider, but TWO!

Well done matey, I'm sure you'll make the right choices in deciding what to do. I look forward to seeing a build thread soon!

Nice boat, it looks in god nick underneathe the shite! If you are going to use the braked trailer as a launching trolley consider removing all the brake components, then if you want to change your mind you won't have a rusted mass of metal inside your hubs!

Consider using 25:1 for the first start. 50:1 is f*** all oil really.
IMVHO, wd40 is great for freeing stuff up, but not a great lube in a motor. I'd squirt a bit of 2 stroke oil in the bores.
Also give it a good squirt of 25:1 down the carb throats before attempting to crank it at all.
(Basically, make sure all the internal bearing & rings are well lubed before attempting to start).
And make sure you've got a reasonable degree of confidence the carbs all working OK before starting it - blocked jet means no fuel means no lube to that cylinder.
Just MVHO.

I was trying to figure out what kind of fuel tank to get for my own searider, it never dawned on me to fit an underseat tank.

Just wondering how it would affect the rib, would it list to one side when full due to the offset console?
Could you just offset the engine more to counteract?
How woud it affect the handling?

Trading storage space for deck space would probably suit me as I would mainly be operating inside cork harbour and anything I need with me would be kept in a drybag.

Is there any other advantages/disadvantages to take into account?

Any idea what capacity the tank is Olly?

I'm going to be mounting under seat fuel tanks on mine and the console is still offset. Not sure how much list it will create?
