Hi Pete and welcome! Ignore the "old soaks" ! Enjoy your RIB keep it in the water for all that you can. I am a Winchester Born & Bred and the wife and I are new as you to Ribbing (although with this site I'm getting kinda used to it.. I have a great time spending little and working hard to get the RIB; an Avon Searider up together and having already grounded it once am looking forward to getting it back in the water. Best of luck to you and keep in touch
Kindest regards
Steve Waters

I'd reserve judgement on that one until you've met a few of us Pete. Theres an odd crew down here, there's Sonic Jeff (Kernow) whom enjoys his Ribbing most when another ribber encounters some sort of calamity. Jeff then proceeds to piss himself laughing for the next six weeks! There's detail Roy (Roycruse) whom likes to spend six weeks planning in minute detail a six hour cruise. He also enjoys strapping a plank of wood to his feet, jumping in the sea and stopping his rib dead in the water. There's Bob (Randski) he often hires himself and his rib out to local authorities for street cleaning duties. He likes to fill his boat up with all manner of crap and then spend weeks getting it all out again. Shaggy, he enjoys towing his boat to and fro the local outboard repair guy. He can be seen doing this on most sunny days during the season. He also likes looking at houses often with a view to setting fire to them. Oh, and me. Well I'm just a regular chap, easy going enjoy a pint and all that.

Anytime Bob, bearing in mind that I'm an industrial slum landlord. It'll a bit draughty.
