Hi Andy, The fuel filler is located on the port side, same as my car, to aid filling up. the take of inside the console is virtually in the centre, andthe fill,
breather, fuel take off and sender unit are raised off the deck by about 70mm
on a plinth, approx 450x300mm. this does make it quite a tight squeze but ive
managed to shoe horn 120 ah battery and 10 ltr oil tank inside, by cutting
the port side ducting level with the deck, as these are raised approx 120mm
off the deck, will try and post pics tomorrow. allso with having the front seat
the water seperating filter is inside the console and bolted through the seat.

That's fantastic Steve, I would like to see the layout and look forward to seeing the pics.
I'm just trying to get a feel and an Idea of the tank position for my application and wondered if I could move My console further back on the deck than yours as the console I'm supplying has a slightly longer footprint at 800mm.

On mine, the tank fittings are flush with the deck and located in the centre of the console, which is a PITA, as it's difficult to fit 2 batteries and a large oil tank around it all. I eventually decided on the Optima battery which packs a lot of power into a small box.
I specified longer below-deck ducting, to pass through a horizontal bulkhead with access hatch which I've fitted to isolate the batteries and oil tank. These ducts were originally glassed around at a 45 deg angle to the deck, which wouldn't work, so I had to cut off the GRP and re-fix them as shown. It all worked out ok in the end

That Console from Osprey does look small inside, is the only access though that hatch in the front?
Luckily I'm blessed with the fact I have a much larger console than the one fitted by Osprey it's a 1100x800mm footprint, the Idea is to fit twin batteries and oil tank down one side with the center free to accomodate the fuel filter and tank fittings with the other side free to place toolkit and various other bits and bobs including a litre or two of emergancy dfi oil.
These will be fitted under a false floor and bulkhead walls that seperate the Batteries and fuel tank bits, kind of what you've done Brad.

What sized tanks have you got fitted Steve and Brad. As I understand it there are several sizes to choose from, 150l, 200l and 225l. Could this explain the raised area?

mine is 150 ltr, i suppose one good thing about the raised area is that it gives
some protection to the through hull fittings, any body know the size of the
genuine optimax batteries, and ah, ive fitted a single 120ah battery which is
quite large. may be i could fit two smaller ones as long as they have the same
120 ah.

Wow, that much more than I was thinking of.
I've already got a 120AH leisure battery and was going to compliment it with a smaller 85AH one.
Can anyone tell me if fibreglass is acid proof? Because I wasn't going for a battery box, was just going to contain them into a vented compartment.

My fuel tank is 200 litres.
The 150 Optimax requires 800CCA to spin it over. The Ah rating is an indication of how long the battery can provide a given amount of power for, rather than how it will deal with surges of energy, eg cranking over a large capacity motor. That is why leisure batteries have an Ah rating and starter batteries have CCA ratings. It is useful to know both ratings of a battery though. My Optima gives 810CCA, but only has a 50Ah capacity, so I decided to fit a second battery, just in case........

5.8 - basically the same as yours, but with single pods aft.
Will be interesting to see how they compare, as the 135 Opti is basically the same motor as the 150 (and the 175), just de-tuned a little.

About 3 weeks.
I was meant to be going up last Friday to help find the position of the fuel tank relative to my console, but after I gave them the dimentions of the console they said that they'll fit the tank and glass in the deck before I go up. This means they're ready for me at the end of this week, however this week isn't good for me so early next week will have to do. I'll be taking up my trailer as well as the console.
I've just been informed by another 6.2m Vipermax owner on another thread that they had 53MPH with a 150 Etec and a 19" SS prop, so performance will be pretty good.
Can't wait till I see her

Osprey won't allow anyone other than Eurocraft to tube their RIBs now. Hugh Jardon was a special case as he bought his hull before a UK agent had been found.
So the 3 weeks should be fully tubed up
