Anti-fouling

If I apply Anti-fouling to the hull and appropriate anti-fouling to the tubes, can this be removed or its very difficult to remove? If removed will it regain its original look or the anti-fouling leaves traces of paint, etc...And with what can this be removed, if possible, from both tubes and hull?

Will anti-fouling decrease the speed of the rib on sea water? I have got a 4m adventurer Avon with a Yamaha 50 2 stroke.

Thanks

Anti-fouling will knock a couple of knots off but not as much as a fouled hull.
The anti-fouling can be removed and you can get a good finish but its alot of work.

as Chewy said you will lose a few knots, but it's not as bad as having a few weeks of growth on an un-antifouled hull.

The key is to use a hard antifoul especially for faster boats and use a very short-haired roller to apply it
