lyndhurst is near southampton, i'm trying to get the lifejackets to Arkamelis who is in Cullompton Devon area. If anyone is travelling down to the west country for the bank holiday and is passing within 20 miles (ish) of southampton i'm happy to drive to meet up somewhere. Cheers

Are you sure the sender is not pulling you wonker? I have purchased life jackets and they have been sent by carrier. I have also sent life jackets by carrier, if they want to know the contents ( which only Royal Mail do) tell them it is safety equipment. The seller is not trying very hard !!

i went in to the post office and was told that pressure canisters are prohibited. If found in the post there is a good chance they will be confiscated and destroyed, apparently there can be ''repercussions'' as well. If you use a courier, same thing, you might get away with it but i called 8 different couriers yesterday and they all said the same sort of thing. Guess it depends on how lucky you feel and as you have to tick the box on couriers saying you accept their t&c's which normally specifically takes you to the prohibited list - difficult to say you didn't know! Maybe a bit neurotic - which courier do you use?

you could use a courier, there are many online handling one off shipments at good prices, but as other have said just post it.
