Anyone coming to brighton for the powerboat racing?

You won't get a very good view from my house, but you're welcome to come down to the beach hut if you want!

Looks like I'll definitely be around on Sunday. The beach hut is number 312 and it's here on Hove Promenade between the King Alfred Centre and Hove Lagoon.

Wish we could come, John, but it looks like we'll be driving around the Midlands in a hired van. Don't ask!!!

Enjoy yourselves.

Same as all the others! It's got a blue door though!

Just been to have a look at the boats, looks like access to the pits (in the Marina) should be OK. We also bumped into Jan Falkowski who's racing in Buzzi Bullet.

I wish I could but I´m stuck working during my vacation.

Give Jan Falkowsky my regards and good luck if you pop on him again

Took Seahawk 2 to Brighton with Graham and his brother and a friend of mine called Ken. Met up with Steve and a few other guys from Pontoontalk. The weather in the morning was not so bad but about mid day got quite rough so we decided to watch the race from the beach.
Sorry to have missed you John cos we also talked to Jan. Beach house number noted. Exciting race but the boats were quite spread out . Jan had to finish the last lap on one engine. One boat caught fire just west of the Brighton pier
Don't know what caused the fire and hope the guys were ok. The black smoke could be seen from a distance . Can anyone fill in this gap

By the afternoon the sea got very rough so our return trip to Littlehampton was delayed awaitng better conditions. It took us just over an hour to get back and the sea was quite rough

More photos can be see on www.pontoontalk.co.uk/forums

Hi JW,

Yep hard conditions , only 4 managed to finish the shortened course. Only one rib which poodled around on one engine miles behind.
