anyone familiar with mercury wiring issues

2008 mercury 50 refi outboard , the trim buttons dont work on the throttle .

the buttons on the engine do work

but its going to be a pain to go to the back of the boat every time

I can not find a wiring diagram of any use for my matched controls

mine has a very large plug going to the outboard not the much smaller 8 pin plug that I can find the diagram for
any help would be great please before I end up taking it all apart , thanks

so after a few hours of searching I found nothing at all online . decided to dig out the fluke multimeter , found the previous installer had trapped the wires in the casing on the main controller and cut 2 of them when tightened up .
all soldered and heat shrink , another little job off the list
