Anyone need a mooring near Southampton?

The mooring in question is upstream from Northam bridge on the river Itchen. There is a new development of flats on the NW side of the river (visible from Northam bridge) called Quay 2000 with a pontoon with about 20 finger berths, all newly installed and each with electricity and water. Access is through two high locked steel gates. There is 5.40 metres between finger berths so each side has a max of 2.70 metres, to include fenders. The finger is 7.0 metres long but you could put a longer boat on without too much difficulty; the limited beam is likely to be the principal restriction. At low water neaps there is a little water but at low water springs the moorings are dry. If you work on HW +/- 3 hours you will probably be erring on the safe side. Having only just bought the flat and mooring I don’t have more accurate info than this at the moment but I will sound the depth over a spring and neap tide at the first opportunity. There is ample on road parking within a matter of yards of the pontoons. The market value for such a mooring is £900 - £1000 pa. We are prepared to rent ours out for £700 pa in the interest of seeing it let quickly.
If you have any questions or would like to take it further please call Laurence Killick on 01243 371 808 anytime.
