Tony, you will have to keep my launching incident a secret though
Can't find any details on the net as to what the mayday call at Conwyn was!

No worries Gareth. What launching incident?
The Mayday call was a broken down speedboat as below.
Two boys rescued: Following a motorboat breaking down half a mile off the coast of Penmaenmawr, Conwy Lifeboat had to rescue two little boys aged seven and six from the boat as they were complaining of being cold. The boys and their father were taken off the boat and taken by Conwy Lifeboat to Conwy. They are being looked after by Llandudno Coastguard, who have called for an ambulance as one of the boys has been sick. The motorboat's engine has been restarted and Conwy Lifeboat is escorting the vessel back to Conwy with the two remaining people on board. Holyhead Coastguard would like to stress the vessel is not taking in any water, it simply broke down. The Mayday call was received at 11.40pm.
