all parts coming together tomorrow , engine to be fitted , console and seats and twiddly bits . Anyone got any ideas on how far forward i should put the console to balance the 115 4 stroke . 100 litre tank is going in the console. Boatis for leisure use so no heavy stuff other than people . It's and odysey console and 2 double jockeys so i have plenty space to play with .

Biffer have you any photos of the 2nd transom dam for a Ribtec 585 please.

Hi Ian - it does seem that the double transom on a ribtec 5.85 would make a huge improvement to the boat in that it should stay drier.

Can you please point to which post had the photos as I have been searching the posts on Ribtec 5.85s.

Dear Ian - thank you. Your posts were really appreciated and provided Biffer is willing if I go down the Ribtec 5.85 route it would only be by adding the higher molding. I am really surprised this has not been adopted by the manufacturers. Many thanks.

Dear Biffer, you will see my reply below: I certainly would like to enlist yor help if we go down the Ribtec route. At least now that our current boat is under offer with deposit paid I can start to look more seriously at a total rig.

Very reassuring - Just go to line a boat with the right engine now. Will be in touch once I have completed which may be 6 - 8 weeks.

Thank you. regards Nigel

My 585 was delivered with straight transom in error, means I have a heftier motor but never got a drop over the back.
