Yes we all have! Any one that says they are the boss in their relationship are deluded!

My Mrs never noticed that I upgraded the plotter for a bigger garmin chartplotter. Cracks me up everytime we go out as it stares her in the face!

I'd say that was fair comment , so the wise will have 'clocked' something of hers to counter with. ... I've already got mine in the bag ...I've gone a step further and contributed to it .... Cheap at half the price of getting away with my own wee, nay ... Considerable blag

My mrs never noticed that I changed the wheels and tyres on the landy, plus put a snorkel on, well not for about a month anyway! By that time it was not too bad.
I didnt lie, just didnt tell her!

She doesnt know I have just had it remapped, and a few other "improvements" either.

Working on getting a new Garmin 751, to replace the old 400 series. I think she might notice that, but maybe not?? I will just wait and see if she does!

My Mrs. has been the driver on the which boats we get ("get this one", "we need a bigger one"). So spending on the boat is not a problem. I've decided to let her have her way on this.

My wife also said " we need a bigger boat with more room". Who am I to argue....
To be fair in our house it's a standing joke that she loves shopping for clothes/boots etc. I just buy what I can for the boat (s) and get on with it. She pitched in 50% of our first little boat and I 've never asked for a penny since, she doesn't seem to mind !!!

Now that the Searider project is finished I'm at home in the evenings a lot more now.

She suggested just the other day that I get ANOTHER project as she gets to watch her kak on tele when I'm out in the workshop tinkering.

It would be rude not to wouldn't it?!

My Mrs has stopped asking. As long as there is $ in the bank she's happy. But no way I want her selling my toys if I bight the bullet, she'd let them go way to cheap

Had a mate years ago, he'd tell his mrs his new diving kit was mine and vis versa, worked well until i bought a rebreather...

I get away with murder down here and can do almost what I like, she's my mate as well a my girlfriend and I would get in all kinds of crap without her, I do talk to her about boat stuff but she wouldn't stop me buying or doing anything, but what she does do is to point out why it isn't really a good idea, sometimes she comes up with real good ideas, we work on, her monies her and mine is mine and we put in the pot for house etc, that way if she wants a handbag or shoes she just gets them, if I want another boat, I'll buy it, it's worked for 25 years
