Anyone used the slip at Dores, Loch Ness recently?

Is it clear? When I was there a few months ago it was covered in pebbles from the winter storms. Going to launch there next week and need to know whether to take a spade!

Are you referring to the slipway beside the Inn?
Personally I wouldnt use it at all. The prevailing wind is from the west which means at recovery time that slip is on a lee shore and if the breeze is above 10 knots a fair chop occurs. With no jetty or anything else it is like recovering your boat onto a beach of rocks.
I think I would rather drive my boat a little further than risk launching/recovering there.

Where else is there? Do you mean go all the way into Inverness?
