Arc?

An ARC has been offered for sale to me. I know the history of the boat, but am unable to find any in the marketplace to assist in determining a fair market value.

The original owner is a local yacht club, but no longer holds any records for the boat. They sold it three years ago.

The current owner admits they basically stole the boat given the price they paid for it, but was in a very worn condition. The only real value to the boat at that time was the new motor.

The boat is an ARC, approximately 7 meters, built in 1989 and was repowered with a 130hp Honda four-stroke in 2001. This was done by the yc. The current owner just had the boat re-tubed by Wing and also repainted the hull.

If anyone has any information regarding ads or sales of ARC's, I would very much appreciate your forwarding such onto me.

Thanks.

Jeff

Age could be a factor here at 5000 years. Just check for signs of animal use, there could be significant stresses from the carrying of two Elephants, two Rinos etc... Also look for damage to the underside from the grounding on Mount Ararat.

Arc?

Yeah, the rhinos were the reason for re-tubbing.

ARC - east coast boats

I've seen a few ARC's on the east coast. I think they were build in RI for awhile but the owner died and left company to a friend who doesn't bother to market the boat. I'm told they've sold 1 boat in 2 years. Ribcraft in Boston has a listing on one they sent me recently. You may want to check with them on value.

I recently looked at one in Ventura that was in nice shape and low hours and he was asking 15k. I was given the name and number of the owner of ARC and was able to talk to him but was not impressed. I too could not find any comps and was not impressed by the boat. It by no means compares in quality to the Ribcraft we just purchased.

Sorry but I don't remember all the details on the boat.
