Spent the past couple of days on & around Lake Como & had the opportunity to cruise the lake with a fleet of original Riva Aquarama's, amongst many other shiny things..... while working at tne Villa D Esta Cocours D Eleganza


Wondered if you lot would like to see some pics?

Oh yeah. The Aquarama is one of the coolest things afloat. A 'real' 60's vintage, could set you back £1m now. For a 28ft speedboat. ;-) We had a beauty on the river down here a few years back. It belonged to Tim Rice's wife's boyfriend. :-/ it had a pair of tuned 7.4ltr GMs converted to electronic ingnition with straight through exhausts. If he backed off too quickly, the backwash would shoot up the exhausts and hydraulic the lumps. Rather than mod the exhausts and alter the note, he'd have them rebuilt whenever it occurred. :-D
