Arundel

Anyone ribbed up to Arundel?

I could do with some tips. Tides, berthing etc

A whole bunch of us did it a few years ago and had lunch at the Black Rabbit. It was a fun day but to be honest the river below Arundel is pretty dull, not least due to the height of the flood defences.

Andre's probably the man with the best knowledge of the area and can probably give you some more info.

I moved away from Littlehampton in 2009 as we had seen all that was to be seen there. Mind you Phil Chitty and I did organize some memorable cruises and many joined us from the Solent. As John said the Arun river is pretty boring and you have to get the tides right .

the Solent , IOW and the Jurassic Coast offer far much more in sense of ribbing. not to mention the Channel Islands.
