At last

Afternoon all. To those who follow the profiles you may notice that I have changed my boat one this week from “sick Tornado” too “Tornado” . Its taken bit longer and more money but at last she is ready to go. Thanks to all from the forum that have helped me along the way with this project on my first boat. Next step is to take her out and we are hoping to do that this Bank holiday weekend. Can anyone recommend a (user friendly & low cost) slip on the South coast between Portsmouth & Pool for a first outing? I have had a look on boatlaunch and know a couple but would welcome personal view.

Thanks again,

Neal

PS. if anyone feels like a bit of babysitting it would be nice to have some company either Sunday or Monday

Or come down to Haslar slip, it's public and free and has a handy pontoon for tying up to whilst you park your car in the large free car park.

If you come this way, don't forget to let everyone know. I'm sure you'll have plenty of escorts....

Glad to hear you've got your boat sorted.

Sorry we can't come out to play this weekend (Richard's working ) but hope you have a good day. Look forward to meeting up soon.

Neal, I'm always about down here especially if it's raining and I'm on the second week of my holidays (live 6miles away).

HW @ 11:00hrs Saturday, it's a fairly quite slip and very shelterd from the winds. You can launch quite easy +-3hours of high tide but hope you have a long rope or 4x4 to get back up again as the slip is a mixture of stones and concrete at top and compacted loose stuff at bottom.

PM me closer the day and I'll know more about my plans for the weekend.

Andy
